Since its opening on New Years Eve 1925 the Vinoy has played host to the worlds most rich and famous. Babe Ruth was here, Jimmy Stewart enjoyed the amenities so much, he brought his father. F. Scott Fitzgerald reveled in the Vinoy’s sun-drenched luxury, as did Ernest Hemingway and many of the Country’s Presidents. Hollywood Stars and famous authors signed the guest register. Now, for the most famous of all, Battery Alliance Members! The Vinoy offers a full service tennis cen-ter featuring 12 championship Har-Tru courts, sailing excursions aboard a Hunter Yacht, visit the beach or play championship golf. You can take advantage of the full service spa or take the shuttle service to the nearby pier and aquarium. A short stroll brings you to The Boardwalk, where you will find the best shopping St. Petersburg has to offer.

The Renaissance Vinoy has extended to our members a room rate of $159.00 plus tax per night. This rate extends 3 days prior and 3 days post conference dates, based upon availability. Your rate repre-sents a savings of $100.00 per night when compared to the normal room rate. The St. Pete area is served by Tampa International Airport. A ride to the Vinoy is 30 to 45 minutes depending on the time of day. Cab fare from the airport runs $45.00 to $60.00. Super Shuttle service is available 24 hours a day at a cost of $27.00.

The 2007 Battery Alliance Open is planned for Friday afternoon on the Vinoy’s private golf course. Not a golfer? Then join us for an afternoon sight-seeing cruise aboard the StarLite Princess. This member exclusive cruise will feature a guided tour of the historical St. Petersburg Bay front. Your cruise will include a live band and refreshments. Our ship will depart from the Vinoy’s pri-vate harbor and return in time for Friday night’s festivities.

Tim lights up the stage with his original, high-energy comedy. He brings the show to life with voices and impressions fused with the masterful timing of a seasoned story-teller. His comedy is enjoyed by millions on TV, radio, print, and live audiences as large as 12,000. Tim will perform for us during  Thursday nights opening ceremonies following dinner. Don’t miss the show!
